Bodhi is a Sanskrit name meaning “Awakened” or “Enlightenment”. Bodhi is also the name of the sacred Peepal tree (ficus religiosa) under which Lord Buddha sat and obtained his enlightenment.
In this interpretation, the enlightened one both emerges from, and blends into, the source of life around him, the nature, the mountains and the leaves, and the flowers and the tree that stood testament to the sacred moment.
This painting would add the calmness and the deep focus required in your study room, to remind yourself that it takes a lot of patience and persistence to achieve something of worth. Or it could hang near the prayer room, because no matter how much we try, we still need to put our faith into something beyond our understanding.
An original acrylic painting on stretched canvas of size 24″x20″.
