Riveting Bleu is the painting of the girl whose gaze is hard to look away from. Bleu, is what the French call the color ‘Blue’. A little twist to the spelling and a layer of romanticism is added to the name. This is how I feel about this painting. There are many girls in the world, but very few retain the innocence of childhood as they become confident women who can take on the world and achieve whatever they set their eyes on.
It is a general belief that the world and it’s experiences end up corrupting everyone who come in touch with the realities of life. But I still believe that among the ocean of people are the small waves on the surface who are still playful despite the unfathomable depth of the waters below. Is it possible to not lose the sense of wonder and amazement no matter how much of the world we have already seen? What would happen if we were able to stay a little childlike in our souls as we grow up? It would definitely be a better world full of color and new things to see and experience.
This painting would be a good gift for your daughter who is stepping into the world of adults to tell her not to forget the giggling girl she once was. It would be a riveting addition to the dressing room for the lady of the house. Or maybe, you want to inspire the colleagues in your office to be equal beyond gender. The women do try, and men should also try harder to level the playing field.
After all, they are no less than the exact half in equation of life.
