My article on 90- year young artist Ms. Muthu Ganapathy’s maiden solo art exhibition held in Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath between 25th to 31st July 2022 , published by Royal Art Times, 16-31st July’22, Vol 3, Issue 14
The word MANDALA is a Sanskrit word and it means circle and is a geometric configuration of symbols. You start with a center dot and then proceed to work your way out . The design can get as big as you want it to go. It is a part of various traditions and cultures from around the world including Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism ,Shintoism and many more and is considered to be sacred and helps one focus as well as meditate. It originally was used to represent wholeness and the structure of life itself, a cosmic diagram that shows the relation to the universe and the world that extends beyond and within minds and bodies.
It is very satisfying to recycle and reuse glass bottles that would have ended up in trash, into Eco-friendly pieces of rustic art that add a dash of color to homes.
Every (covid) cloud has a silver lining (of life), they say…
I totally believe!!! ?
This painting, called ‘Green Tara’ is to bring peace, calm and enlightenment into your life. The pink flower denotes the flourishing of health she spreads around and the golden leaves are the shower of wealth and well being that abound in her presence.
